I do not know about the history of this cage but was told that a cricket would live in it and bring good luck. A magnet has no effect on it so must be all copper. I do not know if the horn is real but it is rough on the underside as well as on top. Leaf lid measures 3 5/8” across and 3 ¾” long. Cage is 2 7/8” wide and 3 1/8” long and 1 1/8” deep. I believe this to be a great example of a ornate working cage. I have cleaned only with a feather brush so as not to damage so any other cleaning will be left to the new owner.
